The Challenge

Hornady, a leader in the ammunition industry, faced significant logistical hurdles with their overseas-sourced dealer displays. While the initial cost was low, issues with service, replacement parts, and shipping created ongoing problems. They needed a versatile and reliable solution that could adapt to various dealer footprints and product mixes. The main goal was to guide shoppers to the right product while reinforcing Hornady’s premium brand image. A key functional requirement was shelving capable of supporting up to 500 lbs. per shelf.

Our Custom Solution

We designed and manufactured in our Ohio facility a hard-working dealer display that directly addressed Hornady's challenges and elevated their product presentation -- all while enhancing the shopping experience for customers.  We delivered a solution that was as tough and reliable as the products it showcased.

Key Features of the Display:

  • Modular Design:  Every dealer location has different limitations and opportunities in terms of available space and product mix. So, we engineered the display to expand to a variety of footprints with add-on gondolas and endcaps. This modularity allows the display to be scaled up or down, providing a perfect fit for any dealer.
  • Heavy-Duty Construction: A custom endcap display called attention to the brand’s featured products, while a heavy-duty gondola ensured the necessary 500 lb. shelf capacity to display the entire product line.
  • On-Brand Product Presentation: The design of the custom endcap provides an attractive and powerful backdrop for Hornady’s products, reinforcing their position as an industry leader and making it easier for customers to find exactly what they need.

The Result

By shifting to our in-house, USA-manufactured solution, Hornady eliminated the service and logistical headaches of their previous displays. The new modular system provides dealers with incredible flexibility, while the heavy-duty construction ensures safety and durability on the retail floor. The final product is a powerful in-store experience that strengthens Hornady's brand and makes shopping easier for their loyal customers.
