Client Challenge

G Hughes Sugar-Free BBQ Sauces, part of the Gia Russa family, needed to elevate their "startup" trade show appearance to match their strong market presence and align seamlessly with sister brands Gia Russa and Little Italy.

Objectives & Design Mandate

The client wanted a unique 20’x10’ exhibit, aiming for a premium look inspired by authentic "backyard Texas BBQ"—combining rustic charm with a high-end finish.

The project required a premium look, dynamic media integration, a fully functional demo area for live cooking, and seamless built-in storage.

  • Premium Presentation: The exhibit needed to move away from generic aesthetics to a high-end look that conveyed brand dominance and quality.
  • Dynamic Media Integration: A large-format video presentation area engaged attendees and communicated brand messaging dynamically.
  • Functional Demo Space: A critical requirement was the ability to perform live cooking demonstrations for product sampling. High-durability counters capable of withstanding heat from electric burners, provided ample prep space, and supplied integrated electrical power.
  • Accessible Storage: The design needed to seamlessly incorporate storage solutions for supplies and personal items without cluttering the visual field.

Our Custom Solution

PFI Displays delivered a tailored 20’x10’ exhibit blending authentic barbecue design with practical function, ensuring efficient workflow for staff while maximizing visual impact for attendees.

Key Exhibit Features:

  • Dynamic Visuals: We installed a striking 4-screen video wall array, creating a large, easily updatable digital canvas that serves as the focal point for brand storytelling and draws traffic from the aisle.
  • Illuminated Product Display: To highlight the product line, we created dedicated presentation areas using adjustable metal shelving. The shelves feature integrated magnetic strip lighting for highlighting product. Illuminated shelving in the front counters provided maximum visibility at the point of engagement.
    • Pre-wired electrical power for cooking equipment.
    • Built-in, changeable black cutting board panels designed for high heat resistance and easy cleaning.
    • Discreetly housed refrigeration and storage for cooking supplies.
  • Durable & Functional Counters: We fabricated three custom counters providing approximately 15 linear feet of workspace and engineered for live demonstrations.
  • Optimized Storage: To maintain a clean professional appearance, we integrated two discrete storage chests with hinged lids, ensuring the booth remains organized and clutter-free during high-traffic show hours.

Result

The new custom exhibit elevated G Hughes from a "startup" look to a high-end, professional destination. The solution delivered seamless demo functionality, smart storage, and a cohesive presence alongside the sister brand exhibits.
